Side Sill Trims / Skirts

Fits
Porsche 981 Cayman GT4
The Verus Engineering Carbonfiber Side Splitters complete the aerodynamic appearance of your 981 Porsche GT4. We wanted to design a product that functioned as well as looked the part; thus we turned to CFD to ensure the units perform on the track. The side splitters help seal high-pressure air from making its way to the bottom side of the vehicle, thus reducing lift. The units are constructed from pre-preg carbon fiber for unparalleled strength to weight.
During the design process; we utilized in-house scan data. This resulted in a product that features a near OEM fit and finish.
These side splitters were designed for owners looking for function and form from a side-splitter addition.

Porsche Side Sill Trims & Skirts | Aerodynamic Design with Style and Function
Side sill trims and skirts are essential components of your Porsche’s exterior design, providing both aerodynamic efficiency and a refined, sporty look. These panels streamline airflow along the vehicle’s sides, reduce drag, and enhance stability at higher speeds — all while protecting the lower bodywork from debris and road wear.
At Design911, we supply a wide range of high-quality side sill trims and skirts made from lightweight materials such as carbon fibre, fiberglass, and reinforced composites. Precision-moulded for perfect fitment, these components deliver superior durability and finish — whether you’re refreshing worn trims, upgrading for a sportier stance, or completing a full body conversion.
From classic 911 models to modern Cayman, Boxster, and Taycan variants, our side skirts combine performance styling with lasting protection, offering the ideal solution for enthusiasts seeking motorsport-inspired design with everyday practicality.
What Do Side Sill Trims and Skirts Do?
Side sill trims and skirts improve the aerodynamic profile of your Porsche while adding visual balance to the car’s exterior.
Core Functions:
Direct airflow along
the car’s sides to reduce drag and turbulence.
Enhance aerodynamic efficiency and
improve vehicle stability.
Protect lower body panels from
stones, mud, and debris.
Visually lower the vehicle’s profile for a sportier, more aggressive stance.
Complement front and rear spoilers for a cohesive aerodynamic setup.
Properly fitted side skirts can reduce lift, increase stability, and add a distinctive, performance-oriented character to your Porsche.
Why Do Side Sill Trims and Skirts Fail or Degrade?
While designed for durability, side trims are constantly exposed to environmental and physical stresses that can cause wear or damage over time.
Common Causes of Failure Include:
- Impact damage from curbs or road debris.
- Cracking or chipping from age or stress.
- UV exposure leading to discoloration or fading.
- Corrosion or fatigue in mounting points or fasteners.
- Improper installation causing misalignment or vibration.
Damaged side skirts can disrupt airflow, reduce aerodynamic efficiency, and detract from your Porsche’s clean, streamlined appearance — making repair or replacement essential for performance and aesthetics.
Why Replace or Upgrade Your Porsche Side Sill Trims or Skirts?
Upgrading or replacing your Porsche’s side sill trims restores both aerodynamic balance and design integrity, ensuring your vehicle performs and looks its best.
Key Benefits:
- Improves aerodynamic stability and efficiency.
- Protects lower panels from dirt and impact damage.
- Enhances the visual profile with a performance-inspired look.
