The Best Way to Install Sub Straps in your Porsche
The Performance Sub Strap Mount is a must-have for Porsche GT2RS, GT3/GT3RS, and GT4 owners using five, six, or seven-point harnesses with the factory CFRP Full Bucket Seats (also called Light Weight Bucket seats). Designed to easily bolt in using existing seat hardware without having to fully remove the seats from the car, the Performance Sub Strap Mount properly anchors your harness anti-submarine straps ("sub straps") to your seat base.
The CMS Performance Sub Strap Mount fits the driver- and/or passenger-side seats.
Performance install harness sub straps in your Porsche are Made in the USA.
Performance Sub Strap Mounts are designed, manufactured, and powder-coated entirely in-house in the USA. Made of solid carbon steel while only weighing 1.4 lbs (625g), there's not a stronger, more affordable solution available. Sub Strap Mounts allow full seat adjustment, fore/aft and up/down, while maintaining the ideal sub strap angle to your body for maximum safety.

Why do Porsche Harness Belts matter?
Harness belts affect how secure you and your passenger are in your Porsche during demanding driving. Over time they can suffer from wear, fading or damage, or you may want to upgrade from standard belts for track use. Replacing tired or unsuitable parts helps your Porsche feel better cared for and can prevent small niggles turning into larger jobs later on.
- Keep your Porsche looking smart rather than tired or neglected
- Help protect the surrounding area from dirt and corrosion where relevant
- Reduce minor niggles such as looseness, rattles or mismatched parts
- Support long-term enjoyment, pride of ownership and potential resale value

When should you review or replace your Porsche harness belts?
Checking harness belts regularly helps you spot wear, damage or age-related deterioration before it affects comfort, refinement or leads to more expensive repairs later on.
- Existing parts are worn, cracked, scuffed, faded, corroded or missing
- You notice looseness, vibration or an untidy appearance around the area they sit in
- You have had related work carried out and want everything to look and feel consistent
- You want the car to feel smarter and better cared for in daily use or before resale
If any of these apply, it is a good time to review your harness belts and replace anything that is past its best so your Porsche stays dependable and enjoyable to drive.
