Constructed from 100% aerospace-grade dry carbon fiber, the SilverRocket V-Frame tailgate is 6.4 kg (13.71lbs) lighter than the stock tailgate of the GT4RS. When combined with the SR Carbon Fiber Wing Support and SR Wing, this results in a total weight savings of 20.7lbs at a high gravity point compared to the OEM setup.

Rearward-Extended Wing Setup Ready
We frequently receive inquiries about if we will provide rearward-extended wing support. Our consistent response has been "no" as our FEA analysis of the OEM tailgate indicates that it is not designed for a rearward-extended wing setup under high downforce. However, we have taken this request into account in the development of this tailgate, which is engineered to safely support the additional forces generated by a rearward extended wing setup.

Indestructible HD Lightweight Polycarbonate Glass Included
Porsche incorporated a super thin glass in the GT4 RS tailgate to reduce weight. However, this lightweight solution has a significant drawback: the thin glass is prone to cracking. Numerous reports on Rennlist highlight instances of the rear glass cracking during car washes. To make matters worse, the OEM tailgate glass comes with a staggering price tag of $2,600.

In response to this issue, SilverRocket has developed our own HD Lightweight Polycarbonate Glass, which is included in the tailgate package at no additional cost. This innovative solution not only reduces weight but also alleviates concerns about the fragility of the expensive GT4 RS rear glass.
