Product information:
This hood is an upgrade hood for the Porsche Boxster 986 (model year 96-02).
The original Boxsters built during that period only featured PVC windows so this hood was never an original hood, but makes it possible to fit this model with a glass window.
The glass window is a little smaller than the PVC window because the frame's folding mechanism does not allow for a larger (non-folding) glass window.

We use a kind of thread that has been specially developed for soft tops that swells up when wet and consequently effectively seals the seam holes. All of the seams on the hood are furthermore treated with a fabric seam sealer to ensure that they are 100% waterproof.

No cleaning or waterproofing required:
There will not be any need for expensive cleaning or waterproofing agents. Sonnenland® canvas is a 3-ply material and has a rubber middle layer. The rubber layer keeps water from penetrating through the roof.

Our PVC window is furthermore sewn-in with two seams in contrast to the original hood and is consequently a lot more sturdy. The piping inside which the side tension cable is housed (tension cable is included) is furthermore reinforced with a durable vinyl material.
