Whether you've owned one for years, or it's brand new, if you own a 2001 - 2005 Porsche 911 (996) C4S, Turbo, Turbo S or GT2 there's really no reason not to upgrade your tail light bracket with this light saver.
Even if your fixture is brand-new, this bit of preventative maintenance will save you from having to replace your entire tail light fixture.
Made from solid metal, the brace is stronger than the original.
There are basically 4 reasons why the OEM brackets fail:
The weight of the rear mounted engine makes the back of the car slam down hard when it goes over bumps in the road.
The sporty suspension is stiff and also makes the back of the car slam down hard.
The thin plastic mount flange gets brittle, and is not the strongest plastic to begin with. There is space between the underside of the engine lid and the top of the mount bracket flange, once the screw loosens or a crack develops, the fixture moves even more and eventually will fall out.
The light saver has been developed as a support brace that looks very much like the original, but is much stronger and costs significantly less than a replacement light fixture. Don't wait until your light fixture cracks, breaks, or falls off in the street or track. This solid impact thermal plastic brace is excellent for protecting your new lights from damage and prevent your old cracked lights from rattling and falling out like nothing else on the market.
You don't need to replace your entire tail fixture just because the mount brackets are cracked as this is a permanent fix that will support your light fixture better than the original plastic mount.

Porsche Right Hand Drive (RHD) Rear Indicators | Safety, Clarity & UK Road Compliance
Right-hand drive (RHD) rear indicators are designed for vehicles driven on the left-hand side of the road, ensuring the correct beam direction and signal pattern for UK and Commonwealth driving conditions. These precision lighting components are essential for safe communication with other drivers — clearly displaying your Porsche’s turning and braking intentions while maintaining full compliance with regional lighting regulations.
At Design911, we stock an extensive range of high-quality RHD rear indicators for both classic and modern models. Our assemblies and lenses are engineered for perfect fitment, consistent illumination, and long-term durability. Available in clear, amber, or smoked finishes, these components combine safety and performance with authentic Porsche styling.
Whether you’re replacing worn units, restoring a classic 911, or upgrading your Cayman, Design911 offers premium RHD rear indicators that deliver unmatched clarity, safety, and style.
What Do Right Hand Drive Rear Indicators Do?
RHD rear indicators play a crucial role in maintaining visibility and communication on left-hand traffic roads.
Core Functions:
- Signal turning and lane changes to following drivers.
- Maintain compliance with UK and international RHD lighting laws.
- Enhance rear visibility for safety during poor weather or night driving.
- Integrate seamlessly with tail and brake lights for consistent operation.
- Preserve the distinctive Porsche design aesthetic.
Properly functioning rear indicators are a legal and safety requirement — helping prevent collisions and ensuring your Porsche meets road standards.
Why Do RHD Rear Indicators Fail or Degrade?
Despite being robustly designed, rear indicators are constantly exposed to harsh environmental conditions and mechanical wear.
Common Causes of Failure Include:
- UV damage leading to lens fading or yellowing.
- Moisture ingress causing condensation and corrosion.
- Cracked or broken housings from road debris or impact.
- Electrical issues such as faulty wiring or bulb failure.
- Dull reflectors or LED degradation over time.
When rear indicators fail or lose brightness, your vehicle’s visibility and compliance are compromised — making replacement essential for safety.
Why Replace or Upgrade Your Porsche RHD Rear Indicators?
Replacing or upgrading your Porsche’s RHD rear indicators restores safety, style, and compliance. Modern LED and smoked-lens options also enhance the look of your car while improving visibility.
Key Benefits:
- Restores full signalling performance and road safety compliance.
- Improves visibility in all driving conditions.
- Available in clear, amber, or smoked designs.
- Direct-fit replacements for Porsche 911, Cayman, Boxster, Panamera, Macan, Cayenne and more.
