The RENNSPORT Milano seat was originally designed as a direct replacement for the Italian sports cars such as the Alfa Romeo and Lancia but has since proved a very popular choice for owners of other classic cars. These include the Porsche 356 and 911 owners, Classic Mini and Mini Moke, Volkswagen Beetle and Camper vans and Volvo Amazon cars.

The RENNSPORT RACE seat is one of our most popular selling seats. It is very similar to a fixed bucket seat designed by Recaro and used in the late 1960's and early 1970's in racing cars such as the Porsche 911R, 2.7RS and 2.8RSR. It especially suits the legendary 1973 RS and is a safer alternative to the fibreglass original which was weakened due to having to have a reclining seat back to homologate it for road use. It has a further advantage in that it is very light, less than 7 kilos even though it has a strong tubular frame.

The RENNSPORT RALLY R seat is a wide base seat very similar to a fixed bucket seat designed by Recaro and used in the late 1960's and early 1970's in racing cars such as the Porsche 911R, 2.7RS and 2.8RSR. The RENNSPORT Safari Rally seat was inspired by the need for a replica Porsche seat to that made by Recaro and used in the Safari Rally in Porsche 911 2.4S and RS cars that competed in that event in 1972, 1973 and 1974. It was also the prefered drivers seat in the awesome 2.8 RSR of 1973. A version similar to our RENNSPORT race seat being used for the passenger. The drawback of the original seat by Recaro was that it was of fibreglass construction and although light was vulnerable to breaking in an accident. It was after all not homologated for road use as it was used only in race and rally cars. In addition by today's standards the backrest was low and the headrest barely reached the shoulders. Also to accommodate different drivers the seat was made in three sizes the smallest of which could only accommodate a 75 kilo driver. Our seat comes in two sizes and this one is the larger of the two providing more width in the seat and shoulder area than the original and more height for neck protection than the original too without compromising the classic appearance. We have supplied this seat to drivers from 75 kilos to 130 kilos. It's main benefit is it is made of lightweight tubular steel not fibreglass and is therefore very strong.

We provide slots for 4, 5 and 6 point harnesses.

This seat will suit any classic car suitably modified for racing or rallying and/or occasional track day use and of course any road replica of a racing car of that period.

The NEW RENNSPORT SPORTS seat is our latest interpretation of the Recaro Sport seat as fitted as standard to the 1973 Porsche 911S and legendary 911 RS Touring. We have modified it further to resemble even more the original seat. Our seats are much lighter though and have a modern reclining mechanism which on the originals tends to allow the backrest to jolt back under hard acceleration. Our mechanism has a German DEKRA certification one of the toughest in Europe.
