These thrust bearings are a welded steel construction with electrogalvanized and powder coated finish. They connect the rear axle tube to the body. After the years, the original thrust bearings are usually worn out and porous. There are no original replacements, and thus an overly spongy rear axle is a problem on many 924-968s.
This rigid version is suitable for both street use and motorsports.

Spring plate bushing condition can be accessed by looking at the hole is the spring plate cover. It should be concentric around the spring plate.
