THE BUMP STEER KIT : Allows Tie Rods to be adjusted downward in extra precise 1/32" (1mm) increments, taking advantage of a wider adjustment range than other kits on the market. Utilizes one of the highest quality alloy steel spherical rod ends available. Teflon/Kevlar lined, full length body, and capable of 30 degrees misalignment, so there is no binding throughout suspension travel or when the car is raised off the ground.
THE TIE ROD KIT: The original factory 911 1974-89 tie rods use rubber dampers which can make steering feel spongy, especially with age. Upgrading to 911 Turbo tie rods will give your car firmer and more responsive steering. Installation is a straight-forward process, and can typically be performed in an afternoon.

The steering rack controls the front wheels by means of two track rods, terminated by replaceable joints - the "Track Rod Ends", attached to the swivel hubs. These will eventually wear, leading to problems with steering and handling, as well as being a failure point on the UK MOT and presumably on the statutory inspections in other countries.

Optimize your Porsche’s steering with this precision monoball tie rod / bump steer kit, built around the iconic turbo tie rod end. Designed for classic 911, 912, 914, and 930 models, especially those that have been lowered or upgraded, it corrects tie rod geometry to eliminate bump steer, stiffen the steering feel, and maintain alignment under full suspension travel.
Fits:
- Porsche 911 1965-1968 2.0L / 912 SWB (F)
- Porsche 911 1968-1973 2.2L / 2.4L / 2.7L RS LWB (F)

What This Product Does:
- Corrects tie rod angle / drop: Especially on lowered vehicles, the stock tie rod geometry can cause the tie rod ends to sit at an undesirable angle, contributing to bump steer (the tendency for the wheels to turn slightly under vertical suspension movement). The adjustable kit lets you reposition the tie rod so the geometry is closer to optimal.
- Provides a stiff, precise joint: Because it’s monoball (spherical bearing), the joint is more rigid and precise compared to a bush-type joint, with less compliance, thus improving steering feedback and consistency under load.
- Allows precise adjustment: Many bump steer kits allow vertical movement in fine increments (e.g. 1 mm steps) to dial the ideal steering geometry.
- Maintains alignment under suspension travel: As the suspension compresses or rebounds, the improved geometry helps avoid unintended steering changes (i.e. bump steer), which improves stability and handling.
- When driving over undulations or bumps, the wheels may steer themselves slightly (you feel the car “pull” or twitch).
- The steering may feel loose, vague, or lack consistency as the suspension travels.
- Especially at the tie rod ends, you may hear clunks, or feel play in steering when the joint is worn.
Why Replacement / Upgrading Matters:
- Correct geometry after modifications: If your car is lowered or has suspension changes, the stock tie rod alignment may cause bump steer. Upgrading to a monoball adjustable kit restores proper geometry.
- Improved steering precision: Rigid joints (monoball) reduce compliance and provide sharper, more direct feedback.
- Consistency under dynamic load: Helps maintain alignment as the suspension moves, making handling more predictable and safer at speed.
- Better durability: Quality monoball joints and upgraded materials withstand fatigue, wear, and stress better than aged or rubber-jointed stock parts.
- Essential for track / performance use: In motorsport settings, the steering must remain constant under all conditions — this kit helps ensure that.

Precision Steering Under Pressure
Our top-performing bump steer solution is super strong and provides the sharpest, most predictable steering response. It eliminates steering knuckle twist induced toe steer and can be used on raised spindles of any height.
Double steering knuckle – Holds tie rod end between two steering knuckles to eliminate knuckle flex regardless of bump steer spacer length.
Long bump steer spacers (required with raised spindles) place bending loads that twist stock steering knuckles. Twist causes undesired toe steer.
Second steering knuckle is welded to the strut body
Bump steer adjustable – allows massive bump steer adjustment range in .125 inch increments. Double shear mounting provides solid support for even the longest bump steer spacing.
Rod End – Weather sealed precision rods ends included work with regular turbo tie rods. Included boots to seal out dirt and and water for extended life.
Our purpose-made rod ends are extra long to ensure proper threaded engagement with standard turbo tie rods
Spindle height – Kits available for 19mm, 30mm, 40mm spindle height.
Kits are easily modified for use with essentially any spindle height.

Improve steering precision and feedback
Turbo tie rods improve feedback and steering precision by replacing the rubber tie rod bushings with ball socket ends. Originally equipped on the 911 turbo, they can be installed on the normal 911, 912, & 914.
We offer turbo tie rods in standard length for '69-'89 911 series cars, and a special extra-long version for '65-'68 911/912. The '65-'68 cars have a narrow steering rack which causes inadequate tie rod thread engagement without our extra long turbo tie rods.
The standard kits are complete with tie rods, spacing washers, and steering rack boots for both sides. We also offer the kits without the tie rod ends. Choose this option if you are using a tie rod end bump steer kit
