Engine Lid Handle Grommet.
The Porsche Engine Lid Handle Grommet is a genuine OEM rubber spacer designed to secure and protect the engine lid handle on classic Porsche models. This grommet sits between the handle and the decklid panel, preventing metal-to-metal contact, reducing vibration, and ensuring a flush, factory-correct fit.

What This Product Does:

The grommet spaces and cushions the handle / pull / grab post on the engine lid (rear deck / rear cover), ensuring that the handle is mounted securely and with the correct clearance. It also isolates the handle from metal-to-metal contact, preventing wear, chafing, vibrations, or damage to the lid surface or paint.

Symptoms & Signs It Needs Replacing:

• The engine lid handle feels loose, wobbles or moves when tugged.
  
• Misalignment: the handle may not sit flush with the lid or tilt slightly.
  
• Noise or vibration from the lid area when driving or over bumps.
  
• Wear marks or damage around the handle mounting hole where the grommet should sit.
  
• The grommet is visibly cracked, deformed, or missing altogether.
