- Porsche 911 1975-1977 3.0L Turbo (930)
- Porsche 911 1978-1989 3.3L Turbo (930)

Fits:
Porsche 911 / 911S 2.7ltr - 1974 to 1977
Porsche 911 SC - 1978 to 1983
Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera - 1984 to 1989
These adapters are used to modify the 2.7ltr / 3.0ltr / 3.2ltr Porsche 911 2 bolt cylinder head engines to the later 964 / 993 3.6ltr intake manifolds when converting to EFI.
CNC machined on a 5 axis machine to our exacting tolerances and finish and anodised dark grey these are custom machined to match your port diameter and tapered to fit up to the 42mm inlet manifold port size.
The short adapor height maintains the overall height of the intake set, reducing the interference between the idle air control, the intake boot and the top of the engine bay insulation. The factory plastic 3 bolt 964 stacks are too tall, and adding an adapter spacer would make the manifolds not fit at all.
This design permits the use of the standard 964 fuel injectors and fuel rails so positions the injector over the same relief in the intake port for the original CIS injector, ensuring proper atomisation of the injector spray into the intake port.
Key Features:
Precision machined from high grade aluminium
Anodized finish
Fits all Bosch 14mm O-ring fuel injectors
Fuel rail spacers are marked for easy cutting to suit long, medium or short injector types.
Kit Includes:
6 x CNC aluminium adapters
4 x Spacer/Posts for fuel rail
4 x Bolts to suit standard full length Bosch injectors
12 x Nuts and washers
Fuel rails not included in kit
34mm / 40mm / 41mm / 42mm adaptors are made to order. Please allow 4-5 weeks for delivery

• Position: Between intake manifold and cylinder head
• Function: Seals intake air passages, prevents vacuum or boost leaks
• Replacement Interval: During intake removal, rebuild, or if leaks or idle issues occur
• Benefits: Restores airtight sealing, smooth idle, and optimal air-fuel efficiency
Keep your classic Porsche running flawlessly with the OE Match 93011019714 Inlet Manifold Gasket. Built to OEM standards for the 911 Carrera 3.2, it seals the intake manifold to the cylinder head for airtight, efficient performance. Replace worn or leaking gaskets to restore smooth idle, strong power, and factory reliability.
Over time, intake gaskets harden and lose elasticity due to constant exposure to heat, pressure, and fuel vapours.
This can lead to:
• Air or vacuum leaks affecting mixture balance and idle quality.
• Reduced power, poor throttle response, or “hunting” idle.
• Possible lean running and increased engine wear.
Replace during:
• Intake manifold removal or service.
• Engine rebuilds or top-end overhauls.
• Any time vacuum leaks or air-fuel irregularities are detected.
Replacing with an OE Match gasket restores proper sealing, consistent idle, and smooth power delivery — crucial for maintaining your Porsche’s precision performance.

This component is a metal intake flange that sits between the intake manifold assembly (where air and fuel enter the engine) and the cylinder head ports.
• It acts as both a mounting surface and sealing interface.
• It aligns and secures the manifold to the engine while maintaining a consistent, high-pressure seal.
• It prevents unmetered air or boost from escaping the intake system.
In turbocharged engines like the Porsche 930 or 964 Turbo, maintaining this seal is critical for consistent boost pressure, efficient combustion, and throttle response.

Air Inlet Manifolds – Precision Airflow Distribution for Porsche Engines
Air inlet manifolds, often referred to as intake manifolds, are vital components in Porsche engines that ensure even air distribution to each cylinder. By controlling the air supply entering the combustion chambers, these manifolds optimise engine breathing, improving fuel efficiency, throttle response, and overall performance.
At Design911, we supply a wide range of genuine and high-quality air inlet manifolds for numerous Porsche models, including 911, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Macan, and Panamera. Each unit is crafted from high-strength materials to deliver consistent airflow, exceptional durability, and precise fitment — maintaining your Porsche’s power and refinement.
What Do Air Inlet Manifolds Do?
The air inlet manifold is a critical part of the intake
system that manages and distributes air from the throttle body into the
engine’s cylinders. Its functions include:
- Delivering
uniform airflow to each cylinder for efficient combustion.
- Optimising
torque and power output across all engine speeds.
- Balancing
air pressure for smoother idling and acceleration.
- Enhancing engine cooling and fuel economy through consistent airflow management.
In performance-oriented Porsche engines, the air inlet manifold is carefully tuned to maximise airflow dynamics — contributing directly to the car’s responsiveness and driving feel.
Why Do Air Inlet Manifolds Fail?
Air inlet manifolds operate under constant pressure, heat,
and vibration, which can lead to deterioration over time. Common causes of
failure include:
- Cracks
or leaks in plastic or aluminium housings due to heat cycling.
- Carbon
buildup restricting airflow through the manifold runners.
- Faulty
gaskets or seals allowing unmetered air to enter the system.
- Vacuum
leaks affecting idle stability and performance.
- Mechanical damage caused by backfires or overpressure.
Symptoms of a failing air inlet manifold may include rough idling, loss of power, engine misfires, increased fuel consumption, or a check engine light related to air intake irregularities.
Why Replace a Damaged Air Inlet Manifold?
A cracked or leaking air manifold can cause air imbalance, poor combustion, and reduced engine efficiency. Replacing the component restores smooth airflow, optimises fuel economy, and protects engine health.
Benefits of replacement include:
- Restored airflow and balanced combustion.
- Improved throttle response and power delivery.
- Reduced emissions and improved fuel efficiency.
- Long-term reliability with manufacturer-quality precision.
All air inlet manifolds available at Design911 are made with high-quality materials, precision-engineered sealing surfaces, and optimised airflow geometry — ensuring lasting durability and peak performance in both standard and high-performance Porsche engines.
