Mechanical Odometer Gear. This is the gear on the side of the speedometer framework.



There are potentially two gears that can go bad. First is the gear on the side of the speedometer. If your gear is metal then you will not need this gear. If it is plastic inspect closely where the shaft comes through the gear as there will generally be a hairline crack and the gear must fit tight.

This gear rides on a pod gear. The two gears together operate the odometer. Both the gear and pod should be replaced together.



15 Tooth : The diameter of this gear is 6.90mm or .271"
20 Tooth : The diameter of this gear is
25 Tooth : The diameter of this gear is 10.70mm or .421"

If you want to repair the odometer permanently you will need to order the gear and the pod. Blue/Green=16; Red=17 tooth count

There are multiple tooth count options that can and will be installed in this odometer. You will need to count the teeth on the old gear before ordering. The outside gear will have 20 teeth and the smaller inner gear between 21 and 32.

The original pod was made in two parts, the disc and then the urethane gear. We manufacture the replacement pod as one piece. This ensures a stronger part with no failure possible. Recommended to also order gear.
