Symptoms & Signs Of Wear Or Failure:

• Clunks or knocks from the rear (or whichever end the torsion bar is mounted) when going over bumps, indicating the torsion bar is moving within its mount.
  
• Loss of ride height or inconsistent ride height, because the torsion bar may not be seating properly.
  
• Increased vibration or harshness being transmitted from the torsion bar area into the chassis or cabin.
  
• Suspension geometry changes / alignment drift, because the torsion bar may shift or twist out of its correct location.
  
• Visible rubber degradation — cracking, splitting, flattening, or the rim/seating portion being damaged. On inspection you may see the sleeve has collapsed or the rim no longer seats properly.
