Function: Installed through the flywheel into the crankshaft flange, each bolt is torqued to specification to provide uniform clamping pressure. Working together as a set, the bolts resist rotational forces generated by engine torque and clutch engagement, helping maintain drivetrain stability and preventing loosening under high-RPM and high-load conditions.
Flywheel bolts are subject to extreme mechanical stress and may stretch or fatigue after removal or repeated torque cycles. Reusing old bolts can compromise clamping force, leading to flywheel movement, vibration, clutch issues, or damage to the crankshaft flange. Replacing them with a new OE Match bolt set ensures reliable torque retention and protects high-value drivetrain components.
