Spring Plate Sports Quick Adjust Rear Set.
Upgrade the rear torsion-bar mounting of your Porsche 911 with this high-performance spring plate set. Designed for 1969-1986 911 models, this pair of indexed, quick-adjust plates replaces the original fixed units with a setup that allows ride-height, preload and corner-balance tuning. The “Sports” version features stiffer mounting bushings and precision manufacturing to reduce deflection and improve rear suspension stability under load.
Sold As A Set.

Fits:
  • Porsche 911 1965-1968 2.0L / 912 SWB (F)
  • Porsche 911 1968-1973 2.2L / 2.4L / 2.7L RS LWB (F)
  • Porsche 911 1974-1977 2.7L / 1976-77 3.0 Carrera
  • Porsche 911 1978-1983 3.0L / SC
  • Porsche 911 1984-1986 3.2L

What This Product Does:

  • In torsion-bar rear suspension setups of early Porsches, the spring plate is the mounting point for the torsion bar end. It anchors the bar and defines ride height, preload and geometry of the rear axle.
  • The “quick adjust” / indexing feature allows fast ride height or preload changes without major disassembly — enabling easier suspension setup or tuning.
  • The “Sports” version also implies stiffer bushings or upgraded materials to reduce flex under load, improving rear-end stability and alignment retention during dynamic driving.

Symptoms & Signs You Might Need It:
  • Rear ride height is incorrect or one side sits lower/higher than the other — the original plates may have settled, corroded or lost indexing.
  • Rear suspension feels vague or loose in corners — the torsion-bar mount may be deflecting under load because the plate is worn or the fixings no longer rigid.
  • Uneven tyre wear on the rear, indicative of changing geometry under load.
  • You’ve modified the rear suspension (lowered ride height, stiffer springs, track use) and the original fixed spring plates limit your ability to set proper ride height or preload.
  • The original plates are rusted, corroded or damaged — since many 911s from that era are several decades old, replacement can restore integrity.

Why This Upgrade Matters:
  • The quick-adjust design gives greater flexibility to set the rear suspension correctly (preload, ride height, corner balance) — valuable in restoration, performance or track setups.
  • Upgraded “Sports” bushings/plates reduce unwanted flex and movement, meaning the torsion bar mounting remains more stable, which improves handling precision, alignment retention and tyre life.
  • For a classic 911 which may have been lowered or upgraded, the standard spring plates may no longer be optimal; installing this set helps the entire rear suspension perform as intended or better.
  • It’s also a practical maintenance upgrade: replacing aged plates removes a common wear item and avoids downstream issues caused by degraded rear suspension mounts.
