Fuel Hose For Pre Supply Pump.
This Fuel Hose For Pre Supply Pump is an OEM fuel hose used on Porsche 928 models. It runs from the fuel tank to the fuel pump (specifically the pre-supply or in-tank pump).
It’s part of the fuel delivery system: its job is to securely transmit fuel (under certain pressure) from the tank to the pump, supplying fuel so that engine combustion can occur properly.

Fits:
  • Porsche 928 4.5L 1978-79 (For USA, Canada, Japan, Australia Models Only)
  • Porsche 928S 4.7L 1981-83 (For Japan And Australia Models Only)
  • Porsche 928S2 4.7L 1984-86  (For Japan And Australia Models Only)
  • Porsche 928S4 5.0L 1987-92 (Option Code 460 - In-Tank Fuel Pump)
  • Porsche 928GT 5.0L 1989-91 (Option Code 460 - In-Tank Fuel Pump)
  • Porsche 928GTS 5.4L 1992-95

What This Product Does:

  • Fuel Delivery: It carries fuel from the fuel tank to the pre-supply pump, which then feeds the main fuel pump (or continues fuel onward depending on configuration). Ensures a smooth, uninterrupted supply line.
  • Sealing & Pressure Handling: The hose is built to withstand fuel pressure, heat, vibration, and exposure to fuel vapors/chemicals. A quality hose prevents leaks, maintains pressure, and helps avoid contamination or air ingress in the fuel line.

Symptoms & Signs That It Needs Replacing:
  • Fuel smell around the rear area / near the fuel tank.
  • Visible fuel leaks under the car, especially when the system is pressurised.
  • Poor engine performance, such as hesitation, surging, or stalling due to insufficient fuel supply.
  • Difficulty starting, particularly after the car has been sitting (fuel supply may not be steady).
  • Fuel pressure drop (if you’ve got the means to measure) or warnings from fuel system sensors.
  • Soft / spongy hose, cracks, swelling from heat or age.

Why Replacement Matters:
  • Safety: Fuel leaks are fire hazards. A worn or cracked hose could leak fuel into hot engine components or exhaust.
  • Reliability & Performance: Ensures the fuel system retains correct pressure and supply, so the engine runs well under load and doesn’t starve or misfire.
  • Prevents Damage: A failing hose can make the fuel pump work harder, possibly damaging it or other parts of the fuel delivery system.
  • Maintains OEM Specification: Using the correct-grade hose (length, diameter, connection fittings) means proper fitment and fewer issues with compatibility or leaks.
