Crankcase knock sensor.
This OE-Match knock (detonation) sensor is built to factory specifications for precise fit and performance. It detects engine knock or pinging and relays signals to the ECU, allowing it to adjust ignition timing for optimal operation.

Mounted directly into the engine block, typically on a cylinder bank or block surface.  Positioned to sense vibration from the combustion process (often near the pistons or cylinder heads).

•  Detects abnormal combustion (knock) by measuring vibration in the engine block.
•  Transmits voltage signals to the ECU so it can retard timing to avoid engine damage
•  Helps preserve engine health, efficiency, and performance by preventing detonation

A failing or degraded knock sensor can cause misfires, rough idle, reduced power, poor fuel efficiency, or illuminated check engine lights.
