also known as a guide sleeve - designed to support and precisely align the clutch release (throw-out) bearing on selected Porsche manual-transmission vehicles. It is a factory-engineered internal transmission component used in conjunction with the clutch system to ensure smooth actuation and long-term reliability.

The clutch release bearing guide tube provides a stable, low-friction pathway for the clutch release bearing to travel during clutch engagement and disengagement. It keeps the bearing aligned with the input shaft and clutch pressure plate fingers, ensuring smooth operation and minimising wear on both the bearing and surrounding components.

The clutch release bearing guide tube acts as a critical alignment and wear surface for the bearing assembly. Over time, the original guide can become scored, worn, or deformed - leading to clutch chatter, rough pedal feel, premature bearing wear, or mismatch between the bearing and clutch pressure plate. Replacing it with a Genuine Porsche OE guide tube restores correct bearing alignment, protects surrounding drivetrain components, and helps maintain consistent clutch operation and durability.

When to replace:
•  During clutch replacement or transmission removal
•  Original guide tube shows wear, scoring, corrosion, or distortion
