TTE Global
TTE Global for Porsche
TTE Global parts for Porsche models from Design911, typically centred around turbocharger and boost-related solutions to help restore or enhance performance where listed for your vehicle.
A Quick Look at TTE Global
TTE Global information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where TTE Global is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side or position, and connector or hose type where relevant.
- TTE Global turbo solutions are typically chosen when owners want to restore boost, improve response, or replace worn turbos that cause smoke, boost leaks, or loss of performance.
- Common Porsche turbo issues include blue exhaust smoke, low boost, overboost faults, whining noises, and boost leaks, often made worse by poor oil supply, contaminated oil, or intake leaks.
- Before fitting upgraded or higher-flow turbos, a suitable ECU calibration is usually required so the engine management matches the new hardware.
- Practical workshop practice is to renew turbo oil feed and return lines, gaskets, and check intercooler and boost hoses at the same time to protect the new unit.
- Good oil pressure and a healthy crankcase ventilation system are important, as oil control problems can quickly damage new turbos.
Browse by Category
If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Engine Rebuild Parts — Engine rebuild parts are typically changed during a planned rebuild or when symptoms point to internal wear such as loss of compression, heavy oil use, persistent leaks, or abnormal noises. Because labour is the major cost, many owners replace bearings, chains, guides, seals, fasteners, and gaskets together while the engine is apart to improve long-term reliability.
- Before committing to a rebuild, carry out compression and leak-down tests, borescope inspection, and check ancillary systems so you understand the root cause.
- While the engine is out, it is common to renew chains, guides, tensioners, key seals, gaskets, and hard-to-access wear items to avoid repeat strip-downs.
Turbo Chargers / Intercoolers & Parts — Turbo and intercooler components are replaced when there is loss of boost, smoke, oil leaks, excessive shaft play, or poor performance traced to boost control or charge cooling. On Porsche models, owners may also upgrade these parts to improve charge cooling, reduce intake temperatures, and safely support higher boost levels.
- A boost leak can feel very similar to a failing turbo, so pressure testing the intake and intercooler system is an important diagnostic step.
- Replacing or cleaning oil feed and return lines and checking for oil contamination in intercooler pipework helps protect any new or upgraded turbo hardware.
Engine Tuning — Engine tuning parts and calibration changes are used to improve drivability, throttle response, or fuel economy, and to support hardware changes such as intakes, exhausts, cams, or forced induction upgrades. On Porsche engines, tuning should follow a health check, as calibration changes cannot compensate for underlying mechanical or fuelling faults.
- Before tuning, confirm good compression and leak-down results, stable fuelling and sensor data, healthy cooling and oil temperatures, and absence of boost or vacuum leaks.
- Use tuning to optimise a sound engine; if there are misfires, flat spots, or knock, diagnose and fix the mechanical or system issue first.
Turbo Chargers — Turbos are replaced or rebuilt when there is excessive shaft play, oil seal failure, damaged compressor or turbine wheels, or when performance upgrades require units that can reliably support higher boost. On Porsche turbo engines, turbo condition is closely linked to oil supply quality and heat management.
- Investigate symptoms such as siren-like whining, blue smoke under boost, loss of boost, slow spool, or oil in the intake and intercooler before deciding whether to rebuild or replace.
- When fitting replacement turbos, many specialists renew oil feed and return lines, gaskets, and ensure intake and exhaust paths are clean to reduce the risk of repeat failure.

TTE800 upgrade turbocharger for Porsche 993 / 996
Introducing our TTE800 upgrade performance turbochargers based on the original K24 turbochargers to new higher output specification. Offering an upgrade to over 800PS.
Engineered & Enhanced
At the core of our TTE800 upgrade stage is a much larger TTE compressor wheel, chosen because it is highly efficient and creates an extremely high flow for comparative size. Re-Profiled compressor cover to optimised tolerance to ensure maximum compressor efficiency is given.
We CNC mill the exhaust turbine housing to accept a larger 9 blade turbine and shaft.
Special profile 360 deg high-performance motorsport journal bearing is fitted, to remain durable at higher loads with no loss in transient response. The actuator used is sprung OE unit set at 0.8bar crack pressure(1.0bar if wanted)
Equilibrium:
Precisely balancing our turbochargers is a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving our balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using our single parts machine, then components are assembled and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in-house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial numbered balance test result document.
• Original BorgWarner turbocharger as the base part
• TTE Billet geometry compressor 54.5MM inlet
• TTE 9 Blade High-Flow Low-Mass turbine
• TTE Upgrade bearing pack
• 800PS+ Capable on 102Ron
• Single parts finely balanced then components assembled and core high-speed VSR balanced
• Supplied with a balance test result document

TTE850 VTG upgrade turbocharger for Porsche 991.1 & 991.2 Turbo / Turbo S
Welcome to our TTE850 VTG Stage for the 3.8-litre flat 6 engine. To construct a pair of TTE850 VTG we change the original compressor and employ a far larger and more efficient billet wheel and mill the compressor cover to optimum gap to match the new compressor profile. Still keeping the original turbine but clipping the original blades for greater flow and lower exhaust gas temperatures. We also remove some mass to improve response.

Introducing our TTE600 Turbochargers for the 991 CARRERA 3.0 for the ultimate blend of power, response, and Plug&play ease of fitment. Our first upgrade step utilizing the original turbochargers for greater flow and power. TTE600 Performance turbochargers can and do make over 600PS with the right software at low boost with ease, yet offer only a little loss in response but offer a big step too more power. These really do offer a great balance of high power and fast response.
Engineered & Enhanced:
TTE600 Turbochargers start life as Genuine OE units. Engineered and enhanced using mostly BorgWarner components. TTE600 uses RS4 compressor covers that we CNC machine in house to an optimum clearance to allow fitment and maintain the efficiency of a larger more advanced billet TTE compressor wheels. The compressor wheel design features promote greater airflow using a low inertia wheel that performs like a wheel of even greater size and mass. Extended tip technology enables the user to have faster spool-up at lower engine speeds while providing high boost with less heat for the powerful top-end performance.
Turbine and shaft are original BorgWarner items bigger in size than the original for more power.
Special profile 360 deg high-performance motorsport journal bearing is fitted as standard, to remain durable at higher loads with no loss in transient response.
Actuators used are OE units fitted for trouble-free operation.
