A Quick Look at OE Match

OE Match information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.

Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche

Where OE Match is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.

  • Often chosen when owners want OE-equivalent quality with sensible running costs, especially for routine service and wear items.
  • Typical reasons to replace include restoring reliability, addressing age-related wear, or refreshing multiple components during larger repair work.
  • Common defects from incorrect application include noise, premature wear, leaks, or fitment quirks if the wrong variant is selected or fitted with old seals/hardware.
  • Watch for symptoms such as unusual noises, early wear, or repeat failures after recent work, which can indicate mismatched parts or supporting items left worn.
  • Always cross-check OEM part numbers, read model-year notes, and verify compatibility before ordering.
  • For safety-critical components, confirm specification and fitment carefully and have installation checked by a competent technician.

Browse by Category

If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.

Brakes — Brake components are renewed to restore stopping performance, address wear or upgrade a Porsche for fast road or track use. Common symptoms include vibration under braking, longer stopping distances, squealing, pulling to one side, warning lights and visible wear to discs and pads.

Brake Pad Wear Sensors — Brake pad wear sensors are replaced when pads are renewed or when warning lights indicate a broken or worn sensor. Symptoms include brake wear warnings even with new pads, damaged sensor cables, or broken clips around the caliper area.

Engine Electrical — Engine electrical parts are changed when there are starting, charging, ignition, or sensor-related faults that affect drivability and reliability, such as intermittent no-start, misfires, rough idle, poor charging, warning lights or heat-soak failures.

Service Parts — Service parts are replaced as routine maintenance to keep the engine and systems reliable, efficient, and protected, often resolving hard starting, rough idle, poor fuel economy and warning lights caused by clogged filters or worn ignition components.

Service Kits — Service kits bundle key service components to simplify maintenance and set the car back to a known baseline, especially useful when catching up on overdue servicing or dealing with general sluggish running, inconsistent idle and reduced performance.

  • For brake parts, confirm whether items are OE-equivalent replacements or performance upgrades and check if new fitting kits and sensors are required.
  • On service items and kits, match the kit to your exact Porsche model, engine and year, and review what is included so you can add any extra “while you are there” parts.

Wishbone Front UPPER.
This Front upper control arm is a high-quality replacement for the factory upper wishbone arm used in Porsche Panamera (970.2, 2014–2016) models. This arm connects the steering knuckle to the chassis, controlling camber, caster, and steering geometry while allowing suspension articulation. Each arm is precision engineered to match OEM dimensions and mounting points, ensuring a direct, no-modification installation.
Sold each, 2 required per vehicle.

Fits:
Porsche 970.2 Panamera 2014 - 2016

Diagram ref no 13

Whether you’re replacing a worn component or doing a full suspension refresh, this arm restores the originality and handling balance your Panamera was designed to deliver.

•  Position: Front axle – upper (left or right)
•  Function: Maintains camber and caster during suspension travel
•  Symptoms of wear: Clunking over bumps, steering drift, uneven tire wear
•  Benefits: OE geometry, smooth handling, quiet operation, direct-fit
•  Installation: Replace arms in pairs, torque to Porsche factory specs, then align

Upper control arms are constantly stressed through steering, braking, and road irregularities. Over time, bushings degrade and ball joints develop play, causing clunks, vague steering, or alignment drift.

Replace this arm when:
• You hear knocking over bumps
 Tire wear becomes uneven
 Steering feels loose or unstable
You’re doing front-end suspension repairs or geometry adjustment

Using a fresh wishbone arm restores tight, responsive handling and helps preserve the performance and safety of your Panamera’s suspension.

Engine tinware, Rear
This rear engine cover fits the rear of the engine compartment on Porsche 911 Turbo (930) 3.0L models. It is designed to match the original shape, mounting points and seal, ensuring correct fitment.

Fits:
Porsche 911 Turbo  3.0L 1975 - 1978

Diagram ref no 15

This rear engine tinware panel is part of the engine cooling and sealing system on the 930. It forms a barrier between the engine and the surrounding bodywork so cooling air is directed where it’s needed, while also helping reduce hot-air recirculation and protecting the engine bay from road debris. Manufactured to replicate OE dimensions, it installs in the factory location and aligns with original fixings for a proper, restoration-correct fit.

It helps channel and control airflow around the engine so the cooling system works efficiently, especially under load and high temperatures. It also closes gaps around the rear of the engine bay to keep unwanted heat and dirt from circulating back into critical areas.

Engine tinware can become bent, corroded, or poorly sealed after decades of heat cycles and engine work. Damaged or missing tinware can compromise airflow management, encourage hot-air recirculation, and reduce cooling efficiency - especially important on turbocharged models. Replacing with an OE Match panel restores correct coverage and fit.

When to replace:
Tinware is cracked, corroded, or bent
Gaps visible around the panel or poor sealing coverage
After engine removal/refit when panels are damaged or missing
During restoration or engine bay refurbishment
Signs of excessive dirt ingress or heat-related issues in the engine bay

Balance beam brake pedal installation kit.
The set contains the additional parts that are required for installing the balance beam brake system in the vehicle.

Fits:
Porsche 911 - 1965 to 1977
Porsche 911 - 1978 to 1989 if brake booster (servo) is deleted
Porsche 914 - 1970 to 1976
With brake beam brake pedal installation

Kit Contains:
Brake fluid reservoirs with clamps x 2
•  Connecting hoses between the reservoir and master brake cylinder with suitable clamps
Connections on the master brake cylinder on the inlet side,
•  Adapter to M10x1 thread for the brake light switch
  Pressure-switching brake light switch
Distribution piece for the front brake circuit (if necessary, the switch can be installed at this point)
  Copper sealing rings x 4

With the standard pedals, the brake light switch is actuated mechanically by the brake pedal, which is no longer possible with the balance arm brake system.

This necessitates hydraulic actuation, which is easily integrated into the brake line using a connector and a pressure-triggering brake light switch.

Lightened crankshaft for titanium con rods.

oematch

Fits:
Porsche 911 2.0ltr - 1965 to 1969
Porsche 911 2.2ltr - 1970 to 1971

Notes
Tested to 10,000 RPM

Increasing the performance of an engine via the crankshaft does not make sense at first glance, but it is worth taking a closer look.

The mechanical efficiency of an engine, which, together with the thermodynamic efficiency and the volumetric efficiency, determines the rated output of an engine, depends fundamentally on the diameter of the crankshaft bearings and the friction in the bearings.

Of course, the diameter cannot be easily changed, but the friction can, which in turn depends on the bending loads and the resulting vibrations of the crankshaft. This is exactly why the use of top-quality titanium connecting rods is of little use if the resulting significantly reduced rotating masses at the connecting rod foot are not also taken into account on the counterweight side of the crankshaft.

Because only a perfectly designed crankshaft, calculated for the connecting rod weights, actually brings with it less bearing friction due to eliminated vibrations, and thus an increase in performance. Furthermore, this crankshaft is speed-resistant up to 11,000 rpm and tested in continuous operation up to 10,000 rpm. A pleasant side effect is of course a reduced load on the crankcase and less wear.

This crankshaft is designed utilising the latest calculation methods using CAD and FE methods (finite elements) and is designed for operation with titanium connecting rods only.

If you want to run this crankshaft with steel connecting rods, use crankshaft part number 90110201100/1. Failure to comply with the mass balance will sooner or later lead to the crankshaft breaking at maximum speeds.

Furthermore, this crankshaft is an authentic replacement for every standard crankshaft of the 911 from 1965 to 1971, i.e. every 2.0ltr and 2.2ltr engine.

You can easily swap out any 2.0ltr or 2.2ltr 911T crankshaft that doesn't have factory counterweights for this crankshaft with counterweights.

Balance beam brake pedal assembly RSR style - LHD.

oematch

Fits:
Porsche 911 - 1965 to 1977
Porsche 911 - 1978 to 1989 if brake booster (servo) is deleted
Porsche 914 - 1970 to 1976

We have re-issued this motorsport inspired accessory that has not been available for many years

Left Hand Drive (LHD) only

Note: The floor pan must be modified and included in the kit is the reinforcement panel required.

As fitted to the 2.8 RSR and 3.0 RSR by the Porsche factory, a balance beam brake system works by allowing precise distribution of the braking forces between the front and rear axles by adjusting the brake beam. This allows the maximum braking performance for the vehicle.

If using upgraded (from standard) brake calipers with different piston sizes, different pads or larger brake discs  the braking force to the respective axles can be altered so a balance beam brake system should be used. Brake calipers with increased piston sizes can also lead to a "soft" brake pedal and the balance beam brake system prevents this.

The balance beam systems has two brake master cylinders mounted in parallel on a bracket that allows precise adjustment between the front and rear axles.

If you don't want to make any changes to the bodywork, or originality is not so important to you, use the balance arm brake system of the 911 SC RS (item number 91142305401/1).
