911 GT3 Manthey Kit
The Manthey Kit offers comprehensive optimisation of the race track characteristics of the 911 GT3 (Type 992). In close cooperation with the engineers from Porsche and Manthey, the specifications of the vehicle have been specifically coordinated for use on the race track and at track days. For Porsche works driver Kévin Estre, this means a lap time of 6:55.737 minutes for the 20.8 kilometres of the Nürburgring Nordschleife. And for all other drivers: even better handling, even faster cornering speeds and even more adrenaline.
Improvements were achieved through the use of new aerodynamic and chassis components, modifications to the brake system and the optionally available Manthey lightweight wheel set. The 911 GT3 Manthey Kit is the result of decades of experience in GT sport, complex aerodynamic simulations and countless test kilometres on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In addition, all components have been intensively matched and tested on the driving dynamics test bench and in the high-performance wind tunnel of the Porsche Development Centre in Weissach.
Aerodynamics package
In keeping with the principle of "form follows function", the aerodynamics of the vehicle have been modified and its design has been further honed: A new, larger lip is used at the front of the vehicle, The combination of its optimised geometry, the characteristic flaps and the additional air baffle elements on the underbody increases the downforce at the front axle by approx. 30%. The downforce on the rear axle is increased by around 45% by the new flow-optimised rear diffuser with longer fins in combination with the larger rear wing made of exposed carbon fibre. The rear wing features an angled blade as well as enlarged side plates painted with the Manthey logo. The aerodynamics package is completed by the carbon aerodiscs on the rear wheels. These reduce turbulence at the rear end and are available with a decorative film to match the colour of the vehicle’s exterior or wheel rims. Overall, the aerodynamics package significantly improves vehicle handling and thus contributes significantly to the performance of the 911 GT3.
Coilover suspension
Extensive testing was performed on the race track and driving dynamics test bench to develop a set-up for the coilover suspension (available with and without a front axle lift system) that leaves no wish unfulfilled in terms of performance, driveability or comfort. For example, the all-aluminium spring struts feature four-way adjustability of the damping force. The lightweight components allow ultra-precise adaptation to the respective track conditions and individual driver preferences. The damping force can be adjusted with easy accessibility and without tools in both the compression and rebound stages for low and high speed settings. The moderately adapted spring rates (+10% on the front axle, -7% on the rear axle) mean that the handling and balance of the 911 GT3 have been further optimised.
Brake line set with steel sleeve
The brake line set with steel sleeve ensures even more direct pedal feedback and a faster response time as a result. This component of the Kit was also tested and co-developed by Manthey on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The brake system of the 911 GT3 can optionally be fitted with racing brake pads. These pads were developed specifically for race track use and improve the fading characteristics as well as responsiveness and control. The brake pads are characterised by constant friction behaviour over a wide temperature range and very good wear behaviour with low disc wear.
Additional equipment
Two red towing loops are included in delivery for race track use. These are bolted onto the designated coils on the front and rear ends and must be removed again before driving on public roads.
As additional visual highlights, the 911 GT3 Manthey Kit includes new illuminated door entry guards in matte carbon with the Manthey logo in red and white. The LED door projectors in the side door exit lights project a white Manthey logo on both driver's and passenger's sides. The Manthey logo can also be applied to the vehicle doors in white or black.
Wheel set
The Manthey Kit is compatible with both the 20/21-inch 911 GT3 wheel set (standard gear wheel set) and the 20/21-inch 911 Manthey lightweight wheel set (available without tyres, valve and tyre pressure monitoring system sensor).
In order to further reduce the overall weight of the already lightweight-designed vehicle, the design of the standard wheel was technologically optimised with the 20/21-inch 911 Manthey lightweight wheel set. The result: A reduction in the springless and rotating masses by 16.1 lbs. (7.3 kg) per vehicle set, which significantly benefits the responsiveness of the spring/damper elements and further improves vehicle control.
The 20/21-inch 911 GT3 wheel set is available in the following paint finishes:

Front axle: 9.5J x 20 RO 46 with 255/35 ZR 20 (97Y) XL tyres
Rear axle: 12 J x 21 ET 45 with 315/30 ZR 21 (105Y) XL tyres.
Porsche recommends using Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres.
Note: Approval for road use and warranty are unaffected. The individual components of the 911 GT3 Manthey Kit are precisely matched. Front splitters are very effective at producing front end downforce without significantly increasing drag and this is achieved by creating a large pressure delta or difference between the top and bottom surfaces. We then incrementally improved the front splitter by adding design tweaks to the underside of the splitter to improve flow with our carbon polyweave splitter blades. While running CFD we ensure we have an appropriate aero balance for the vehicle to ensure good on-track performance.
The splitter installs with absolutely no cutting or permanent modification to your Porsche.
The splitter is produced from a carbon thermoplastic, which is the same material used in high forms of Motorsports. The material is not brittle, so no more issues with cracking like carbon fibre and ABS. It will not grab and bend under the car like aluminum units either. It is a great splitter material. The polyweave will abrade away and take quite a beating.

Porsche Tequipment offers a Manthey Performance Kit for the current 911 GT3 for even better performance on circuits. The 911 GT3 with Manthey Performance Kit lapped the Nürburgring's Nordschleife in 6:55.737 minutes. This is exactly 4.19 seconds faster than the 911 GT3 without kit.
The modifications are focused on aerodynamics and chassis components. The new Performance Kit was developed in close collaboration between the Porsche engineers in Weissach and the Nordschleife specialists from Manthey in Meuspath. The Porsche Tequipment circuit-optimised components are sold through Porsche Centres.
Significant increase in downforce
The extensive changes to the aero package are what make the Manthey Performance Kit for the 911 GT3 recognisable. A larger spoiler lip and side flaps are fitted at the front of the car. In conjunction with the modified air guide elements on the underbody, they increase the downforce on the front axle. The modifications at the rear are even more pronounced. The swan-neck-supported wing of the 911 GT3 is wider, and now features a tear-off edge (Gurney). The end plates with their distinctive Manthey logos have also been enlarged, as has the wing’s angle of attack. The fins of the rear diffuser have been extended and are now made of CFRP. The aerodiscs on the rear wheels, which are also made of CFRP, further enhance the car’s aerodynamic efficiency.
In collaboration with Manthey, Porsche has developed special four-way coilover suspension for the 911 GT3 that can be adapted for use on the circuit. The suspension struts can be adjusted to four positions, and rebound and compression can be tweaked without tools. The moderate changes to the spring rates (10 percent higher on the front axle, seven percent lower on the rear) contribute to improved on-the-limit handling, without making any compromises necessary when it comes to day-to-day usability.
Adaptable coilover suspension
A lightweight forged wheel set with 20- and 21-inch rims is available as an option for the Porsche 911 GT3. They reduce unsprung mass by a total of 7.3 kilograms. They are available in Brilliant Silver, Dark Silver, Neodyme and (satin-gloss) Black. A set of brake lines with steel braids come as standard with the kit. They guarantee a very precise pressure point and thereby ensure optimal modulation of the brakes. Special racing brake pads are available as an option for the 911 GT3 with the Manthey Performance Kit. Door projectors and illuminated door sill guards with the Manthey logo help to personalise the car visually. A towing loop is also included in the kit.
