If you are upgrading your original 911 Tie Rods to the superior 930 versions, chances are you will need a set of these shims to complete the update. The amount of thread engagement on the steering rack of the inner tie rods changed when the joints were updated, so in most backdates you will need a spacer to keep the new tie rods from bottoming out on the rack before they tighten down. These precision machined units are perfect for such conversions, providing a full face for the tie rods to be torqued against.
