Made in Germany: the aluminium oil splash tube
in the camshaft housing for lubricating the
camshaft and the rocker arms. The the oil splash tube should be renewed each time the engine is overhauled to prevent the soiling and sludge produced after many years of operation getting into the engine compartment.
